What is Community Clips?
Community Clips is a community for creating, sharing, viewing, and discussing homemade how-to videos! It’s just like looking over the shoulder of your officemate to learn how to do a particular task! Office Online 14 is shipping this feature, and Community Clips is a being released as a proof-of-concept in conjunction with Office Online.
Here's how to play
1. Download the Community Clips recorder to install the video/audio recorder (You can skip this step if you already have the client installed)
2. Make sure your microphone (built-in or external) is turned on for audio recording
3. Record a session of Office using the QAT button, Community Clips ribbon, or System Tray icon
4. When you finish recording, your video will play back for you in the Community Clips client application. You can preview your video and make sure you like it before sharing it.
5. Save and upload your video to the Community Clips portal. You will need to provide a valid Windows Live ID before uploading your video.
6. Give your video a descriptive title, description, and tags.
7. Wait until 2/27 to determine if you've won a Zune!
Terms and Conditions
1. Present and former Office Labs / Greenhouse team members are excluded from the contest. They are encouraged to upload videos but will not win a Zune.
2. Videos will be judged by a panel of Office Labs team members. Criteria are: video quality, audio quality, usefulness of the content, and informativeness of the video.
3. Producers of the top two videos will receive e-mail notifications to their Microsoft aliases, notifying them if they've won the Zune.
4. Zunes will not be awarded if we receive fewer than 50 video submissions from 2/13 through 2/27 (from people outside of Office Labs).
